Introduction to the Yoga Sutras
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are the foundational text of yoga. They are also one of the six main schools of thought in India known as Darsanas taken from the root word Drs meaning “to see.” Written over 2,000 years ago, they describe the eight limbs of yoga as well as the purpose, philosophy and practice of yoga. Although the sutras are thousands of years old, their teachings are astonishingly relevant for today.
